Lovely!
Alice Walker
I love a man who is not worth
my love.
Did this happen to your mother?
Did your grandmother wake up
for no good reason
in the middle of the night?
I thought love could be controlled.
It cannot.
Only behavior can be controlled.
By biting your tongue purple
rather than speak.
…
your tatts «<
I hear that some communities raise the skin and put in a special herb that make the skin rise up to make the design…
Join us as we welcome our first guest, Arielle Julia Brown, writer, activist and creator of Love Balm for My SpiritChild: Testimonies of Healing Justice through Mothers’ Memory is a healing performance workshop series that celebrates the spirit of commemorative justice in mothers.
Love Balm for My SpiritChild was inspired by the revolutionary acts of mothers fighting for justice for their children living and dead. It was specifically inspired by how mothers’ memory has served as a vehicle for justice in the cases of the Rwandan Tutsi Genocide, Oscar Grant III Amadou Diallo, and Emmett Till. Participants witness, write and perform their own and others testimonies of revolutionary motherhood. The series is free and open to all mothers of color who identify with activism. http://lovebalmformyspiritchild.tumblr.com/

Here is a song I recorded one day, it just emerged and afterwards I know it shifted something.
